The recent U.S. Department of Justice memo regarding crypto enforcement priorities will not impact the ongoing criminal case of Do Kwon, the co-founder of Terraform Labs. Prosecutors confirmed that they do not intend to alter the charges against Kwon in light of the memo.
A New York judge was informed by prosecutors that despite the changes within the DOJ's crypto unit, Kwon's trial proceedings remain unaffected. The trial start date has been rescheduled to February 17, 2026, due to scheduling conflicts.

Upcoming pre-trial motions are anticipated in July, with a third status conference set for June 12 at 11 a.m. in New York to discuss further developments in the case.

Due to scheduling challenges, the start date for Kwon’s criminal trial has been pushed back three weeks from January 26, 2026 to February 17, 2026.
